Acid Test

WHAT IS ACID-TEST?
ACID-TEST is an essential product to locate the presence and the formation of acid inside vehicle A/C systems. The use of ACIDTEST
is a very important step in a regular preventative maintenance and provides a fast and accurate method to detect the presence of acid into lubricants.

HOW DOES ACID-TEST WORKS?
ACID-TEST contains chemical ingredients that react when in contact with acidity, changing their color and indicating the nominal pH level of the refrigeration lubricant.

TESTING THE pH LEVEL OF A POE LUBRICANT - INSTRUCTIONS
Take one vial and remove the cap
Extract 2 ml of POE lubricant with a pipette (FIG. D)
Squeeze 2ml POE lubricant into the vial
Replace the cap on the vial and screw it tight
Shake vigorously for 3 seconds
Check the colour of the liquid against Fig’s A, B & C

TESTING THE pH LEVEL ALL OTHER LUBRICANTS - INSTRUCTIONS
Take one vial and remove the cap
Extract 4 ml of lubricant with a pipette (FIG. D)
Squeeze the 4ml of lubricant into the vial
Replace the cap on the vial and screw it tight
Shake vigorously for 3 seconds
Check the colour of the liquid against Fig’s A, B & C

IF THE COLOR IS PURPLE OR BLUE (FIG. A)
The pH value is equivalent to 6.8 or above (no significant level of acid present in the system).
IF THE COLOR IS GREEN (FIG. B)
The pH value is between 6.8 and 5.2 (a moderate concentration of acid in the system).
IF THE COLOR IS YELLOW (FIG. C)
The pH value is equivalent to 5.2 or below (a high concentration of acid in the system).
